Polychrome floral painted blanket chest, Pennsylvania , featuring hinged rectangular lid fitted with original wrought-iron strap hinges, interior with lidded till, each end with wrought-iron bail handle. Retains likely original paint-decorated surface featuring panels with floral decoration and dated "1783". Poplar, pine secondary wood. Dated 1783.
